Personal Positioning Statement

Step 1: Define Research Purpose

The purpose of this project is to use the research and exploration I have done this far to form a personal positional statement that I can use for job interviews or cover letters.

Step 2: Take a Mental Inventory

This is what I am looking for:

want a job as an Administrative Services Manager want to improve my current salary want to be excited about my job want to like where and how I live

These are my assets:

have a degree in business management have worked as a principal office assistant for six years have twenty-six years of experience as an administrative assistant/analyst have five years of experience as a receiving supervisor have good communication and leadership skills

I am a hard worker

I am flexible and willing to accommodate

This is my flexibility:

Formulate Research Questions
What will a company hiring an Administration Services Manager be looking for in an employee?

What priorities am I willing to give up if necessary?

If I am offered a job, is the salary more important, or the type of work?

Step 4. Find Sources will use the research that I have already done to complete this project.

Step 5. Answer Research Questions

My research has indicated that my experience and leadership skills will be my best asset in looking for a job as an Administrative Services Manager. I am not willing to accept a salary lower than my current salary, but I am willing to accept a position that offers room for advancement.

Step 6. Present Your Research

Personal Positioning Statement have a degree in Business Management and twenty-six years of experience as an administrative assistant. Five of those years were spent as a receiving supervisor. My time as a supervisor developed very strong leadership and communication skills, and my extensive experience has given me a thorough practical knowledge of my field. For example, I am already familiar with most computer programs used in my field. I am ready and willing to learn new skills and try new things, and am willing to relocate if necessary.
